Tuesday’s game at Liberty Hill was a real test for the Union Grove 7th Grade Grizzlies. The scoreboard did not end in our favor, as we fell 18–6, but we finally started to show what this team is capable of becoming. Our athletes played hard, competed for four quarters, and showed real signs of improvement.
Jarron Tillis stepped in at quarterback and gave our offense a much-needed spark. After a slow first half, we began moving the football with more confidence in the second half. Our running game continues to be our strength, and we scored our first touchdown by putting together a strong drive on the ground.
Defensively, we took another big step forward. We tackled much better, put together some of our best defensive series of the season, and you could see the confidence growing throughout the game. Mitchell Polk set the tone up front, consistently disrupting the backfield and bringing great energy to the defensive line.
This team continues to grow with every practice and every snap. Our focus now is building confidence, trusting our teammates, and believing that we can compete with anyone lined up across from us. The results will come, but first we have to continue building the habits that create success.

Union Grove won a hard-fought football game against Liberty Hill MS September 15th 7-6. It was very much a defensive game and the boys showed great fight. The go ahead touchdown was scored by RB/DE Jordan Rosario with 5 minutes left. Liberty hill drove the length of the field and scored with 6 seconds left in the game, however, the Grizzlies did not give up and stuffed them on the point after attempt to hold on for a win.

The 7th grade volleyball team played against the Liberty Hill Lions last night.
The B Team played with Grizzly pride and heart and defeated the Lions in two sets, 25-14 and 25-12. The ladies worked together and hustled on the court to pull out the win. Top server of the match was Top Server were Zaleia Pointdexter and Andrine Torgeson with six points each. Jaziel Cerda scored five. Aniyah Cornelius, Rosalie Conner, and Elizabeth Fields each added three. Isabella Schilling had one point. Lily Anna Godfrey and Alex White were defensive players of the match.
The Grizzly A Team played an awesome match and soundly defeated the Lions in two sets, 25-6 and 25-11. The ladies displayed great heart, hustle, and pride throughout the match. The Grizzlies had many passes, sets, and spikes. There were also some great tips at the net. Top server of the match was Zariyah Ketter with 16 points. Chi Robinson scored six. Nathalia Pagan added five. Kaliyah Shields scored four. Kaileiya Whitesides served three. Olaya Robinson served two points and Adalyn Tucker-Bland made one point. Defensive players of the game were Savanna Mantanona and Delaney Jackson. Kalli Hocutt had great net play.
